Predators need a win to claim one of the Western Conference wildcard spots.
Three regular season games remaining… and the Nashville Predators need to win (at least one, or perhaps two depending on the Golden Knights @ Stars outcome on Tuesday) of those matchups in order to secure a spot in the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
As of Monday evening – with each team in Wildcard contention having only three regular season games remaining – here are the Wildcard standings for the NHL Western Conference.
- Nashville Predators: 94 Points (44-29-6)
- Dallas Stars: 93 Points (44-30-5)
- Las Vegas Golden Knights: 90 Points (42-31-6)
Only two of the above teams will qualify for this year’s NHL postseason.
The Predators will host the talented Calgary Flames at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday night. From there, they will travel to Denver to take on the Western Conference leading Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena on Thursday, and will wrap up the regular season in Glendale versus the lowly Arizona Coyotes (at Gila River Arena).
The Dallas Stars, despite being one point behind in the Standings, have the easiest path to playoff qualification thanks to their last three regular season games – which are scheduled to take place at American Airlines Center at Victory Park in Dallas.
- Las Vegas Golden Knights @ Dallas Stars (Tuesday)
- Arizona Coyotes @ Dallas Stars (Wednesday)
- Anaheim Ducks @ Dallas Stars (Friday)
The Las Vegas Golden Knights, on the other hand, will likely need to win all three of their remaining regular season games in order to have a shot at qualifying for the postseason – and all of those games are on the road with two of those teams either already in the playoffs or in contention.
- Las Vegas Golden Knights @ Dallas Stars (Tuesday)
- Las Vegas Golden Knights @ Chicago Blackhawks (Wednesday)
- Las Vegas Golden Knights @ St. Louis Blues (Friday)

Tennessee Titans Looking Forward To 2022 NFL Draft
It was 3rd and 5 yards to go, with less than 30 seconds to play in regulation…
The 2021 AFC top seed Tennessee Titans were looking to gain field position to kick a last-second field goal that would catapult them into the Conference Championship… but then came the fateful interception.
The Cincinnati Bengals would complete a key pass, call a timeout, then kick their own 52 yard field goal to defeat the top-seeded Titans and go on to represent the AFC in Super Bowl LVI.
For the Tennessee Titans, the AFC Playoff loss was a crushing, unexpected defeat at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
The January 2022 NFL Playoffs were unforgettable due to the high quality of on-field performances combined with last-second victories (and defeats) that kept fans and sports bettors alike glued to the action.
And this year, the Titans hope to improve upon their disappointing playoff results, beginning with the 2022 NFL Draft in Las Vegas that begins this Thursday, April 28th.
According to Ben Arthur of The Nashville Tennessean, the Titans’ potential first round pick boils down to three scenarios: a Guard, a Wide Receiver, or a Quarterback… depending on whether the Titans “stay put” at the overall #26 selection or decide to move up/down in the first day of the NFL Draft.
Is that the way Thursday’s NFL Draft action will go down for the Tennessee Titans? Sports bettors and fans will be waiting with bated breath to find out, as the decision could prove to be extremely important for the future direction of the franchise.
