Amelco Officially Announces Partnership With Sportradar For Tennessee Sports Gambling

The service provider for Tennessee Action247, one of four legal and regulated online/mobile sportsbooks live in the state of Tennessee, has forged a deal with Sportradar.

Amelco, which powers Action247, on Monday announced a partnership with Sportradar to deliver a “full platform and Managed Trading Services (MTS) solution” to the fledgling sportsbook. Sportradar provides sports betting data solutions. In Tennessee, there is a statutory requirement for online/mobile sportsbooks to use official league data for in-game wagering.

Sportradar is the official data partner of U.S. sports leagues such as the NFL, NBA, NHL, and NASCAR. It has partnerships with numerous sportsbooks in the nascent U.S. market. Action247 doesn’t haven plans to launch in additional states. Amelco is now doing business in five states.

Financial terms of the deal between Amelco and Sportradar were not disclosed.

Action247 a unique player in the sports betting industry

“Under the agreement, Amelco and Sportradar went live on Sunday, 1st November as one of the four initial operations to be approved by the Tennessee regulator,” a presser stated. “In a historic first, the deal has seen Action247 become the first sports betting operation in the U.S. to be powered by both Amelco’s full sports betting solution and Sportradar’s MTS and market-leading technology.”

Aside from manufacturing some press coverage, it’s unclear why the deal was announced Monday when it was apparently forged prior to the Nov. 1 launch. Both Amelco and Sportradar were approved by the Tennessee Education Lottery this fall leading up to launch day.

Neale Deeley, VP of U.S. Sales and Gaming at Sportradar, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Amelco in Tennessee on behalf of Action247. As a trusted partner of ours globally, Amelco has become invaluable to our operations across multiple U.S. opportunities. We look forward to progressing our stellar partnership even further with this deal, and helping Action247 drive its business forward with our MTS.”

Sportradar has partnerships with the other Tennessee online/mobile sportsbooks — FanDuel, BetMGM, and DraftKings. Unlike Action247, those mobile sportsbooks aren’t powered by Amelco in Tennessee.
